I am inspired by light and color.  I get excited when I see shadows cast, variances in color, and the moodiness of an ordinary scene.  I want to capture the moment and commit it to memory through paint. I enjoy the challenge of capturing a subject on canvas or paper and bringing it to life with my brush. I have a particular affinity for life around the water: sea life, coastal scenes, boats or people and animals enjoying the water. 

 

 

I am a 5th generation Californian. spending most of my years in San Diego. In recent years, I lived in Key West Florida, and now I call St. Petersburg home.  I have been obsessed with art since I was a small child. I began painting seriously after retiring in 2014.  In addition to painting, I enjoy making pottery, home decorating, gardening, sailing, traveling, tending to my menagerie of pets and spending time with my husband and two children.
